Health in motion, community
in action
Empowering Latino communities to live healthier, more fulfilling lives through wellness.
About us
Vive Tu Vida En Forma is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and lifestyle improvements within Latino communities. Our mission is to address health equity by providing culturally and linguistically proficient education, preventative care interventions, and accessible resources to underserved populations. We empower individuals to lead healthier lives through education, community engagement, and access to vital health services.
What We Do
At Vive Tu Vida En Forma, we believe in making a meaningful impact on the health and wellness of our communities. Here’s how we’re turning our mission into action:
Monthly Educational Workshops
Our monthly workshops focus on topics like diabetes prevention, heart health, mental wellness, nutrition, and cancer awareness. These bilingual sessions are tailored to address the unique health challenges faced by Latinos and provide practical tools to improve daily well-being. Workshops are held at community centers, libraries, and partner organizations across Chicagoland, Texas, and Puerto Rico.
Monthly Online Health Show
We host an engaging monthly online health show, featuring interviews with medical experts, real-life success stories, and actionable health tips. This show brings critical health topics to the forefront and is streamed online to reach a wider audience.
Latino Health Newsletter
Our digital Latino Health Today Newsletter provides a wealth of health-related information, including articles by Latino medical professionals, tips for healthy living, and updates on our programs. This monthly publication is a vital resource for anyone looking to stay informed about health equity and wellness.
Health Equity Tour
Our flagship initiative, the Health Equity Tour, travels to underserved communities in Chicagoland, Texas, and Puerto Rico, offering free or low-cost health screenings, educational services, and health resources. By partnering with community organizations, hospitals, and volunteers, we deliver essential care directly to those who need it most.
Our Impact
Through these programs, we are addressing health disparities, educating our community, and empowering individuals to take control of their health. Whether it's through an interactive workshop, an informative newsletter, or a life-saving health screening at one of our tours, Vive Tu Vida En Forma is here to ensure health equity for all.
